I understand that for alot of people, it is popular to try to supplement skill by getting the lightest triggers and the snazziest gadgets. I usually find these types of people to be the lowest on the totem pole in the skill section. If you are offended by this observation, you are guilty of this and should be ashamed of yourselves.
I will not pretend that I have not tried to look for pistols or rifles that have the features I would need in order to make things easier in general. But I will tell you that what you think is easy is not always the case. People that lack real training and knowledge have no real basis on which to make these kind of judgments about features. If you only know how to shoot one round every two seconds at a bullseye target, and that is all you ever do and all you know, how the hell are you going to be able to know what kind of holster you are going to need in order to draw and shoot on the move? Quick answer is that you have zero basis for it because you never practice it and you don't know what you need and the problems you could encounter.
My recommendation for people is to get training and start learning to read. Why? Because education, experience, and practice will tell you more about yourself than just fantasizing. As far as training, I am not talking about just basic training on how to shoot a gun. I am talking about force on force training, realistic citizen based training. Those battle belt, military style training courses are fun at times, but they have very little value in terms of showing you how to survive as a civilian simply defending yourself. Most of what you need to do is based on making decisions and actions that help you out in court. Don't concentrate your funds on your tools if you don't have the skills to use them.
